Policy Hertz Car Rental

 

"A. General policy to rent a car
When picking up the car the main driver must present: valid license from their country of residence valid ID and credit card. The car rental companies accept cash but this option is not always available.

 

"B. Rental Rates
The daily rental rates are based on a rental day 24 hours from the time of rental. The minimum charge is one day. The customer will be charged for excess time of the return another day rental for "overdue" or if you return the vehicle more than 24 hours after the return date and time the lease. If the tenant does not meet the conditions applicable to the rate including the geographic movement restrictions, fines or surcharges applied.

 

"C. Age Requirements
Below are the policies of Hertz age requirements:

• The primary renter of the vehicle must be over 25 years old, Passengers from 21 to 25 years can drive but will be charged an additional fee per day for about $ 25. Additional drivers must meet the same requirements as the head lessor.
• All drivers must present a valid driver's license from your country of origin at the time of rental.
• Certain specialty and larger vehicles may not be rented to young drivers under 25 years. Some agencies maintain maximum age limits.
• Hertz reserves the right to refuse rental of a vehicle if the renter demonstrates inability to handle according to the rules and road conditions.

 

"D. Additional Driver
All additional drivers must meet ALL rental requirements concerning age and driving record as well as with all other requirements of rental standards.
Should go to the rental counter with the primary renter.
Must present a valid driver's license.
Must sign the rental agreement.
You can apply an additional daily fee for each additional driver.

 

"E. driving liciencia
A valid driver's license issued in their country of residence must be presented at time of pickup. The driver's license must be valid for the entire rental period.

With the driver's license of the country of origin of the passenger it is enough to rent a vehicle. As long as it is valid and clearly legible.

 

** IMPORTANT **
Hertz rents in the state of Georgia:

As of January 1, 2009 in the State of Georgia, it governs a new law that requires any non-resident who operates a vehicle in Georgia, whose driver's license is not in English must be in possession of an International Driving Permit that conforms to the Geneva Convention on Road Traffic.

 

"F. Reservations
You can book a vehicle specific make and model; however, the model year and other characteristics of the reserved vehicle will be subject to changes and other limitations of which you will be informed whenever appropriate.

 

"G. After Hours
In offices not located at airports in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands and allow the return of vehicles outside of office hours, hire charges (and optional services charges) will accumulate until the reopened in office opening hours. For example, if the vehicle is returned on Monday afternoon at 21:00 hours when the office is closed, the rental charges will accrue until the office reopened on schedule of business on Tuesday morning.

 

"H. Rate Quote
The car rental rates vary considerably from place to place, and change frequently. The rate quote you receive is merely indicative, should always be checked with our on-line system for the exact rates.

 

"I. Road one-way
Way Rentals are those consisting pick a city and return the vehicle to another city or location. Availability is based on the restrictions on the location and the type of vehicle being taken in one sense. Fees for one-way will be assessed at the time of booking. The cars can not be conducted in Mexico. Exceptions are regulated by specific rental location.

 

"Traffic restrictions J.
Holders must notify the rental counter at the rental office if they intend to travel through Canada.
You must bring the valid driver's license and registration of the rent. Rentals from this city do not require the submission of letters of liability protection, certificates or stickers of the Canadian Customs. A passport is now required to enter Canada.

 

"K. Additional equipment
Hertz offers special equipment in most offices for a small fee or free of charge. For your convenience, we offer child seats, Phones, Equipment Snow and Manual Controls for the disabled.

"Manual Controls for the disabled
Manual controls for the disabled both left and right-handers are available at no additional charge. They can always be confirmed that the reservation is made in advance.

»Additional equipment
Hertz offers special equipment in most offices for a small fee or free of charge. For your convenience, we offer: Child seats, mobile phones, Equipment Snow and Manual Controls for the disabled.

»Child Seats
Child Seats Hertz offers accredited by the state in all offices. Hertz voluntarily complies with state laws requiring the use of child seats in the car. If the child seat use is required by law, the counter of the office will notify you at the time of rental.

 

Child seats are used by Hertz for children weighing 5-40 pounds and a height of 40 inches.

 

'NeverLost navigation system
Hertz offers a guidance system in your itinerary that will provide the necessary details to get to your destination through an LCD video screen 4 inches with a voice computer system installed in the dashboard of the vehicle on.

The offices that have this equipment normally provide for medium vehicles, Large Luxury 4-door, and is subject to availability.

 

"Snow Equipment
Vehicles equipped for snow including a ski rack (with up to 4 pairs of skis), snow scraper and snow tires and chains.

Credit Card presented must have sufficient credit and check card / debit sufficient funds to cover the estimated cost of the rent plus a deposit of $ 140.00 applied in the event of possible incidents. Cards that meet these requirements must have the Visa or Mastercard logo.

 

The use of debit cards is always subject to a review of the history of your credit card.
Stored value cards / prepaid / gift are not accepted to rent, but these cards can be used as payment for the return of the vehicle. Please keep in mind that at the time of rental and reservation must submit a valid driver's license and a valid name of the person renting the vehicle credit.
In most of the offices in the US, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands Hertz will allow you to have certain cards in place of a credit card checks / debit card. (Please note that the confirmation of the reservation does not mean that your check card / debit card accepted by Hertz).

Prepaid rates

Hertz charges applied by both the cancellation of bookings as well as the No Show (No Show) / Rental unrealized in all prepaid rates bookings made from the following countries: Germany, Saudi Arabia, Austria, Belgium, Bahrain, Denmark, United Arab States, Spain, Finland, France (including Andorra and Monaco), Russian Federation, Greece, Holland, Ireland, Italy, Kuwait, Lebanon, Luxembourg, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, United Kingdom, South Africa, Sweden and Switzerland.


CHANGES IN RESERVES

1. Hertz allows customers to make changes to a reservation up to three times. to. Through the website of Hertz, in the "Modify / Cancel" option Tariff and reservations. b. By contacting the Internet Department assistance.

 

2. There shall be no administrative fee for changes made via the website. Hertz reserves the right to charge an administrative fee for changes made via the Internet Department assistance.

4. The name on the reserve collection and office can not be changed. If the customer wants to make some of these changes, you must cancel the reservation (see "Cancellations" below) and make it again.

 

5. When the client finished making the necessary changes in a prepaid reservation will be prompted to enter the data of a valid credit card. This has to be the same card used to make the original booking. To change credit card you must cancel the original reservation (see "Cancellations" below) and make a new reservation.

 

6. If there are no cars available at the office and requested date, the customer will receive the following message: 'No cars available at this location for these dates and length'. The client must change the dates or office pickup.

 

7. If no prepaid rates for office, date, or any other request made, the customer will receive the following message: 'No prepaid available'. If the customer sees this message, you can cancel the original booking (see "Cancellations" below) and make a new reservation whenever a non-prepaid rate available.

 

8. CDP: CDP code can be added to the reserve. However, there may be circumstances in which the town is linked to a discount or negotiated rates not apply to prepaid rate. In this circumstance, the user receives the following error message: "No prepaid available." The customer may cancel the original booking (see "Cancellations" below) and make a new reservation adding the CDP number.

 

9. The number of partner Hertz Gold Plus Rewards can not be added to an existing booking via the web.

 

CANCELLATIONS:

1. Hertz allows customers to cancel a prepaid reservation.

2. Full refund of paid reservation will be made as follows:
to. If the reservation is canceled within 7 days of its completion, will elreembolso in full.
b. If the reservation is canceled after the seventh day of its completion, the refund amount shall be reduced by an administrative fee.

3. Refunds will be credited to the credit card with which the original booking was made.

 

CHANGES AT THE TIME OF THE COLLECTION

If at the time of collection of the vehicle you wish to rent a larger vehicle or hire a product for a longer period, you may do so, subject to availability, with payment of additional charges. These charges will be calculated in the local currency of the country where the rental takes place and may be higher than those previously calculated.

 

NO SHOW (no show) / RENT NOT DONE: Reservations prepaid
1. If you do not cancel your reservation before the date of collection and does not collect the vehicle on schedule, or do not comply with the terms of collection (see Terms and Conditions Prices and reservations), we reserve the right to apply a charge as shown below by way of administrative costs and compensation for the costs of booking and vehicle preparation.

2. We will refund the full amount to the prepayment, less the amount of No Presented / Rental unrealized, entering, within 90 days from the date of collection of the vehicle, to the following address: Hertz Europe Service Centre, Swords Business Park, Swords, Co. Dublin, Ireland, to request redemption and attaching a copy of the booking confirmation.

 

 

NO SHOW (no show) / RENT NOT DONE: Reservations not prepaid

 

The vehicle will be reserved and available to you. If you did not pick up an hour after the time and date set by you or in the case of rentals at the airport two hours after the scheduled arrival of your flight (provided we have communicated their number flight), Hertz reserves the right to apply a penalty charge in the amount of € 65.00, £ 65.00 or an amount equivalent to the target currency, taxes not included.
